"Analogue synth porn" :-D 5.

"What a legendary song. This was light years ahead of its time for 1977. Just like Kraftwerk were so ahead with Autobahn in 1975. The Oxygene album from 1976 is unbelievable. JMJ looks so young here! He doesn't look 29 at all!"
"Waw! amazing!! The ARP2500 and ProSoloist were not used in Oxygene: it all was ARP2600, the lead of Oxygene par tIV and many more + VCS3 filtersweeps and AKS, Eminent strings and RMI basses and sequences"
"That's only show, I think those instruments were just borrowed for the gig. At least there were ARPs, like on the Oxygene cover...
Back then JMJ had not a crew to transport all his heavy equipment. He travelled alone from gig to gig (1976)."
"Ah, knobs, sliders, tactile feedback, real-time controls, the golden days of synth music!"

Kb 1977, az Oxygene után:

Fordítások:
Translation: "I hacked the system completely".
In the studio: "Can you make the sound sharper please?"
"The first thing I did was actually a project for the Opera, which is something totally surrealist because normally it's something you would do at the END of your career. And so the first thing I ever did was a piece of music for the choreographer of the Avignon Festival"
and this choreographer was asked to write something for the Opéra and I went to see the director of the Opéra in Paris. The director wasn't used to havng someone bring all their equipment with them. I entered his office and I played him half of the music for the Opéra that I had composed a few hours previously.
I didn't know if he would be interested in my music. Eventually he was convinced and the music was played at the re-opening ceremony of the Opéra in Paris at the Palais Garnier. The Opéra had been re-decorated by Marc Chagall.
The idea of totally hacking studios and selling some discarded projects to record companies was used so that they would leave me alone for nights on end in their studios with my equipment allowing me to experiment
When I was using studios I had much more equipment that when I was working in the Music Research Groups, which were mainly for artists who were already signed to record labels. It was through my time at these groups that I met other singers like Christophe and Patrick Juvet"

Oxygene instruments explained
Jean Michel Jarre explains the instruments he used for his new version of Oxygene.
(Ekkor már kész volt az 1997es "Oxygene 7-13"is, de a 2007es "Oxygene: Live in your living room" is valószínűleg.)
Pár komment:
"VCS3, Moog Modular, Mellotron... pure, unadulterated synth porn... amazing"
"No kidding. Its like a museum. I'm gonna guess he has between $750K and a Million dollars worth of equipment there. Its always cool to see someone really using pure analog though."
"He would of made the money to buy this equipment over a very long time of performing in concerts and selling albums. Plus he would of collected these synths, maybe one or two a year. There's no way he bought this stuff all at once"
"O_o check out that Moog Modular, it takes a telephone exchange operator to handle that patching ;-)"
"He did use a theremin on Oxygene didn't he? I have the original album and I could swear there was a theremin part in Oxygene I."
Bizony, a tyeremint a végén mutatja...

Ez már "mai",61évesen:
