Some information about the eurodance music style, written by me:
Eurodance is a music direction which was very popular between 1992 and 1995 and generated acts such as Culture Beat, La Bouche, Snap, Haddaway, Music Instructor, Pharao, Masterboy, Mr. President, Dr. Alban, Ice MC and many more. The musicians didn't obligatory come from Europe, but the (mostly anglophone) songs were usually produced there. The music, which probably arose from styles such as euro disco, is mainly medium-fast, underlaid with a techno-like beat, and consists of harmonic sounds which are sometimes combined with reggae-elements. Typically there is an interaction between a male rapper (verse) and a female singer (chorus), and on the chorus there often follow instrumental deposits. The eurodance-hype began in 1992 with hits like "Rhythm Is A Dancer" by Snap and "Its My Life" by Dr. Alban but decreased in 1995, and in 1996 hardly any track of this music direction could still manage to get into the charts. In 2003, some eurodance-acts - such as Snap and Culture Beat - tried to undertake a comeback, but they failed.
